Sonu Nigam's Azaan controversy continues to captivate everyone's attention. For those 'blissfully unaware' (how could one be at this point?), Sonu Nigam tweeted that he did not like being woken up by the loudspeakers of the Azaan early in the morning, although he did try to clarify that he meant the use of loudspeakers in any religious place, be it Masjids, Temples, Churches or Gurudwaras. The controversy has gone as far as Nigam shaving his head after a Maulvi issued a fatwa saying anybody who shaves his head will get a sum of Rs 10 lakh.

Bollywood has taken two stands on the issue - not saying anything or being completely vocal about it. Many celebrities like Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut have stood up for Nigam and have even supported his statements and his right to his own opinion. Some, like Mika Singh, chastised the singer for his views on religion. Now, fellow singer Adnan Sami was also questioned on the matter but apparently, he has no idea what's happening!

Sami was in Germany all this while and upon returning, the singer did an interview with Aaj Tak. After discussing a variety of topics regarding Sami being trolled on Twitter over his Snapchat comment ("I don't understand why they decided to troll me") and Kulbhushan Jadhav ("I think the government should quickly sort out the matter and send Jadhav back to India"), the news channel then asked him about his opinion on the Sonu Nigam Azaan row. But Sami simply replied "I don't know what Sonu said, I was travelling. But I've known Sonu for many years now, he's a sweet guy. There definitely must have been some misunderstanding."
