Actress Urvashi Rautela held by Airport Intelligence Unit for assets fraud

Airport Intelligence Unit (AIU) of airport customs held model-actress Urvashi Rautela at CSIA on Tuesday , allegedly on charges of non-declaration of valuables and jewellery to the tune of over Rs 11.5 lakh.

Rautela, who made her debut opposite Sunny Deol in Singh Saab The Great, was returning from Dubai in a Jet airways flight when she was intercepted. She did not mention about the valuables in the declaration form, as being a dutiable item, it attracts duties.

AIU officials, who suspected her behaviour, questioned her about the seized valuables. "The valuables and diamond studded gold ornament has been seized for investigation," said Milind Lanjewar, additional commissioner, airport customs.
