AIIMS MBBS examinations: 3 days to go; visit http://mbbs.aiimsexams.org to register; tips on filling the online form

The registration process for the MBBS entrance examinations at AIIMS will end on March 5.

Students, who want to appear for the exams that take place in May, will have to log onto http://mbbs.aiimsexams.org/ , which means you have less than three days to go.

The exam will be conducted on May 26 and 27 for admission into MBBS course at AIIMS New Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Bhubaneshwar, Rishikesh, Raipur, Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) and Nagpur (Maharashtra).

Note that registration is only online and there are no offline registrations

To register follow the necessary steps

  • Visit http://mbbs.aiimsexams.org/
  • On the site click on register
  • Ensure you have a credit card or online banking facility while registering

While uploading your digital photograph, ensure you have a white background screen. Click colour photograph in bright light using any digital device (preferably with > 5 megapixel resolution). Avoid using flash as it tends to create a shadow on the white background. Look straight into the camera. Ensure that your eyes and both ears are clearly visible on the photograph.

Before you scan the photograph ensure that the photograph is of standard passport size (3.5 cm X 4.5 cm, width X height) and that it is recent (within 6 months of online application).

When it comes to digital signatures, follow the necessary steps

- Draw a box of 3 cm x 6 cm (width*height) on a white paper sheet with a pencil.

- Take a thick tip black/blue ink pen (preferably fountain pen).

- The person who will be appearing in the examination should sign within the drawn box (full signature).

What not to do

- Signature containing Initials only

- Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS

- Signature with overwriting

There are 800 seats available in the above mentioned institutes and the results are expected to release in June. The online examination (computer based test) will be conducted in two shifts per day (9 am to 12:30 pm and 3 pm to 6:30 pm) at various centres across the country.

Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification: Aspirants should passed/appearing or appeared class 12 examination or its equivalent with the subjects of English, physics, chemistry and biology with 60 per cent marks (50 per cent for SC/ST/OPH candidates) in aggregate.

Age: The candidate should be minimum 17 year old.

Exam pattern

Physics: 60 questions

Chemistry: 60 questions

Biology: 60 questions

General knowledge: 10 questions

Aptitude and logical thinking: 10 questions

Exam syllabus: The institute will follow the standard format of class 12 syllabus. No syllabus has been prescribed by the AIIMS.
