Although Uttar Pradesh (UP) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a tough stance against encroachment in the state, still citizens cannot get rid of vendors sitting outside their homes.

Manoj Kumar, a manager with the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), has been struggling for weeks to get a flower seller and his ware removed from outside his home in the upscale Noida Sector 27 area.

Not only is the vendor making open use of the space but he and his family have even managed to get their PAN card, passport, driving license, and various other government documents issued by giving Kumar's address.

This has raised several questions regarding the government agencies's procedure to verify address for such documents.

Kumar came to know about the matter on April 22, 2017, when he received a PAN card for someone named Shri Ram Nishad, with his own address on the card.

He then lodged a complaint with SC Misra, in-charge of work circle II in Noida Authority, on April 24. He also complained to the Gautam Budh Nagar District Magistrate and SSP, who lives a stone throw from his house.

DNA has copies of both complaints and the documents generated on the address.

The house, G-49 in Sector 27, was allotted to Kumar on January 28, 2003, where he lives with his wife Seema and two-year-old son Akshaj.

The victim then lodged a complaint at Sector 20 police station and with Noida Authority Deputy CEO Saumya Stivastav and other officials but no action was taken.

Meanwhile, as per Kumar, on May 23, flower seller the women in Nishad's family allegedly barged into his house, abused his wife and tried to attack his son.

The women in Nishad's family threatened to frame Kumar in false rape case, he said.

Kumar said that since then he has been running from pillar to post to get an FIR registered in the matter but nothing has been done.

"The encroachers have taken all rules for a ride. I am hoping to get justice," Kumar said.

When contacted, Gautam Budh Nagar SSP Love Kumar said he was not aware of the issue.

Meanwhile, when our correspondent visited the spot on Monday, some women sitting outside the house threatened with dire consequences.

The women then called a policeman, who reprimanded our correspondent for taking pictures of the spot.
