Serial eve-teaser held for assaulting minor

The father of the girl informed the police that a man misbehaved with his 13-year old daughter while she was returning home from her tuitions

A 23-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly misbehaving with a 13-year-old girl while she was on her way home in New Delhi’s Mandir Marg area. 

The accused — Yash — is a resident of Paharganj area and works in an electric shop along with his father. 

Yash had previously been accused of being involved in two cases of assaulting and misbehaving with women. 

According to police, on December 30, 2016, the father of the girl informed the police that a man misbehaved with his 13-year old daughter while she was returning home from her tuitions.

“The minor girl was caught from behind by the accused, who even tried to pull her towards him while she was climbing the staircase to escape from his clutches. The girl screamed for help and the accused let her go and fled the spot. The incident also gave a back injury to the minor,” said a senior police officer.   

Yash is married and confessed to the police that he gets pleasure from committing such crimes. He has been doing it for the past five years or so, he admitted. 

A case has been registered after the accused was identified by police. It also came to the fore that he had,  in March 2017, also attacked and assaulted two other women; a case earlier registered with Paharganj and Mandir Marg police.

‘DERIVED PLEASURE’

The accused — 23-year-old Yash — is married and confessed to the police that he derives pleasure from committing such crimes. He has been doing it for the past five years or so, he admitted. There are two more cases of assault against him.
