Due to the mismanagement at the Mundka NEET examination center, as many as eleven doctors missed their MD/MS examination on Sunday. The doctors alleged that there were no clear signs near the centre, the back doors were closed and they were denied entry just reaching five minutes after the reporting time. The matter has been taken up by the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA) now.
The doctors said that while the actual address given was ‘ION Digital Zone ID Mundka, Mundka Delhi Rohtak Road, PNB bank, 501 and 502 metro pillar’, but the centre was 300 meters away from this. The doctors were asked to go to the back door, which was closed and by the time they returned to the main gate again, it had been closed.
“These candidates were not allowed inside after being misguided. There were two examinations going on at the same centre- XLRI MBA and NEET PG, which led to the confusion. When they tried to call the PCR van, nobody arrived and even at the police station - they refused to file an FIR,” said Rajesh Rathore, advocate, who was accompanying a candidate.
Some candidates kept waiting outside the centre till 12:30 pm in the hope to get an entry so that they could write their exams. The missing of the examination has affected an entire year for them.
“I waited till afternoon in the hope that they will let us in. Even the police did not hear us and rather abused us. I have been preparing for the examination from one year and my entire year will go waste for no fault of mine,” said Dr Akanksha Singh, a candidate who was not able to appear in the exams.
Dr Vivek Chouksey, president, FORDA, requested the government to look into the matter.
