Earlier, police had arrested other members of the Sonu Daryapur gang. Satish was arrested in May, Naveen Khatri in June and Rajesh alias Rajje in July last week.
The Special Cell of the Delhi Police has arrested three persons involved in the murder of gangster Bhupendra alias Monu Daryapur, his personal security officer, and his associate. The arrested are wanted criminals and carried a reward of Rs 1 lakh on their arrest by the Delhi Police and Rs 25,000 by the Haryana Police.
"The arrested are members of Sonu Daryapur gang and have been identified as Sonu alias Kejriwal (25), Sumit alias Palotra (22) and Sandeep alias Padu alias Pagal (25). Three sophisticated pistols and fifteen live cartridges were recovered from them," said Sanjeev Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Cell.

In April last week, Bhupendra was sitting in his car in Outer Delhi's Mianwali area. He was accompanied by his Personal Security Officer (PSO) ASI Vijay Kumar and associate Arun. Suddenly around six people reached the same location and started firing indiscriminately at them. The trio succumbed to their injuries.
On July 28, information was received that the three arrested accused would come to Rohini in order to meet their other gang members. A trap was laid and a Honda car bearing a Haryana number plate was intercepted and the trio was apprehended.
On questioning they revealed that they are members of the Satyawan alias Sonu Daryapur gang. They are said to be involved in several cases of murder, attempt to murder, and armed robberies registered in Delhi and Haryana.
Investigations revealed that Rajesh wanted to eliminate Ramesh Lohar, another notorious gangster. On the other hand, Sonu Daryapur wanted to eliminate his rival Monu Daryapur. The duo joined hands and decided to murder both of them. Following this, the gang members planned the murder and started monitoring the movements of Monu.
