A recent advertisement by Jaipur Traffic Police might well have been hilarious, but the subject of their humour didn't take it too kindly. A massive billboard warned motorists not to cross the zebra crossing while waiting for the traffic lights to turn green by putting up an image of Jasprit Bumrah over-stepping to bowl a no-ball during the ICC Champions Trophy final against Pakistan. That fateful no-ball, of course, cost India that match as the batsman - who was out caught-behind on that very delivery - went on to make a century and help his side post a mammoth total.

Although netizens had a hearty laugh as they shared the post, Bumrah didn't find it amusing and expressed his displeasure on Friday. "Well done Jaipur traffic police this shows how much respect you get after giving your best for the country But don't worry I won't make fun of the mistakes which you guys make at your work .because I believe humans can make mistakes," wrote Bumrah in a series of tweets.

Here's that tweet by Jaipur Traffic Police that was later deleted:

Subsequently, they also issued a clarification to Bumrah - "Dear @jaspritbumrah93, our intent was not to hurt your sentiments or the sentiments of millions of cricket fans. We only intended to create more awareness about traffic rules. You are a youth icon & an inspiration for all of us," the post on Jaipur Traffic Police's Twitter wall read.
