'Bhagwan isko uthale': Shikhar Dhawan reveals why players run away when MS Dhoni does 'Hera Pheri'

When one thinks of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, one thinks of a stoic soldier who, on most occasions, will outwit his opponent. Years and years of leading the Indian cricket team with a calm and composed demeanour led to MSD earning the moniker 'Captain Cool'.

One wouldn't be grudged for thinking that Dhoni has a sedate personality off the field too. The truth, however, is far from it.

From hilariously telling his team-mates to focus on the game - like the time he told S Sreesanth to not check out girls in the crowd - to playing pranks in the dressing room with pals Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh, MSD has proven to have a colourful personality when not focused on national duty.

In an interview with NDTV recently, Team India opener Shikhar Dhawan gave further proof of Dhoni's playful side. When asked to reveal a smart one-liner frequently used by the former Indian captain, Dhawan said, "When he sneezes, he says 'Bhagwan mujhe nahin isko uthale' (God take him with you, not me)."

This, as fans of the Hindi film industry would know, is a famous dialogue that was said by senior actor Paresh Rawal in the 2000 film Hera Pheri. Well, the Indian players would know very well now to stay away from Mahi when he's suffering from a cold!

Both Dhoni and Dhawan will be in action in the three-match T20 series against Australia that begins in the former's hometown of Ranchi on Saturday. After a thumping 4-1 victory in the recently-concluded ODI series against the Aussies, the Virat Kohli-led Indian team would want to continue its domination in the shortest format of the game as well.
