While most South African bowlers may want to forget India's innings in the first T20I of the three-match series, Tabraiz Shamsi would certainly remember it. The spinner got his first T20I wicket and that too in the form of Virat Kohli.
However, most fans will Shamsi for his style of appealing. The young spinner took off all over ground while appealing for a LBWs. While he successful to get Kohli out, he was not able to get Manish Pandey on a similar appeal. His appealing style, however, reminded twitterati of another South African spinner- Imran Tahir.
Shamsi Is exactly the opposite of Imran Tahir. One runs after taking wickets, other one runs before taking them.#SAvIND #INDvSA

Shamsi is an upgraded version of Imran Tahir... Just running down the ground before the umpire lifts up the finger#INDvsSA #SAvIND

Seems like Shamsi is literally filling into Imran Tahir's shoes. #TakeOff#INDvsSA @SPNSportsIndia Kohli

Someone should tell this Shamsi guy that LBW is not similar to bowled or caught kinda wickets and you'll have to appeal before celebrating.#IndvSA

"The problem with Shamsi is that he was an umpire in previous incarnation." - Harsha Bhogle's commentary while Shamsi appeals for LBW against Pande
