India Under-19 Cricket team defeated Australia on Saturday to pick up their fourth ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup.

Prithvi Shaw & Co won the match by eight wickets with the help of Manjot Kalra's unbeaten 101. Boys in Blue chased the target of 217 in 38.5 overs.

While the entire nation rejoiced over the win, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Indian Colts on Twitter.

"Absolutely thrilled by the stupendous achievement of our young cricketers. Congratulations to them on winning the Under-19 World Cup. This triumph makes every Indian extremely proud," posted PM Modi.

Manjot Kalra was adjudged as 'Man of the Match' while Shubman Gill was awarded 'Player of the Tournament'.

It is to be noted that India have remained unbeaten in the Under-19 World Cup tournament.

It was an all-around performance from the Prithvi Shaw-led side as earlier the Indian spinners sent shivers through the Australian batsmen's spines with their magical spell, followed by a magnificent show with the bat.
