RCA president CP Joshi talks future of cricket with BCCI chief

Rajasthan Cricket Association’s (RCA) president CP Joshi met BCCI’s acting president CK Khanna in Delhi on Friday. The picture was shared on his official Twitter handle which was captioned- “I met with CK Khanna, president of BCCI. We discussed on range of issues regarding development of cricket in Rajasthan and across India.”

Calling it a courtesy meeting, Joshi told DNA, “We are hosting IPL matches and I never could materialise meeting with him whenever he came to Jaipur as I was occupied with elections. So I decided to pay him a visit.” He has planned a meeting on March 25, but is waiting for confirmation from RCA’s secretary RS Nandu.

“I received an email from CP Joshi and has asked him to change the date as I am occupied on March 25,” the secretary said. With most of the major IPL preparations are in place, the focus of the meet will be to ensure that other paraphernalia is in order. Moreover, Joshi is looking forward to watch the IPL games to be held at the SMS Stadium. “Yes I will be watching the games as I was the one who took initiative to bring back cricket in the state,” Joshi said.
