Pakistan have taken an unassailable lead in the T-20 series against West Indies after another one-sided win in Karachi on Monday. West Indies was slightly better than Sunday's outing, yet they were found wanting in all aspects of the game and succumbed to a 82 runs defeat. For Pakistan, Babar Azam was the pick of the players scoring a breezy 97 not out of only 58 balls punctuated with 13 fours and a solitary maximum.

Winning the toss, Pakistan elected to bat in a placid track. Fakhar Zaman got out cheaply but Azam and in-form Talat added 119 for the second wicket to put the match firmly in host's control. Talat scored 63 of 41 balls. Thanks to handy contributions from Asif Ali and Shoaid Malik, Pakistan reached a formidable 205 with a stellar hand played by Azam. No West Indian bowler managed to trouble the batters with runs scored freely at will.

Chasing, West Indies avoided a disastrous start but they were too cautious for their good. It looked like second-string West Indies was just playing to save the blushes and not necessarily looking to win the match. Only Walton in the top of the order showed some intent with 40 of 29 balls. West Indies' woes was compounded with a dramatic lower order batting collapse losing last 5 wickets for 16 runs. Amir was the pick of the bowlers picking up 3 for 22 runs. Shadab and Talat took two apiece and Nawaz and Ali took one each.

With two resounding defeats, West Indies look to be in their wits end with no answer to Pakistan's onslaughts. The fans in Karachi though would have liked to see a closer contest with international cricket coming back to the city after 9 years. The third and final T-20 will be played today.
