Lethargic conditions prevailed at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices after moving in a tight range, settled at previous levels.
On the other hand, Muzaffarnagar gur market depicted a weak trend and prices fell up to Rs 50 per quintal.
Marketmen said muted demand due to off-season particularly pulled down the gur prices in Muzaffarnagar.
In Muzaffarnagar gur chakku prices drifted lower by Rs 50 to finish the day at Rs 3,100-3,200 per quintal.
Gur Raskat prices also settled lower by Rs 25 to end at Rs 2,600-2,650 per quintal on lack of buying support from beer makers.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal): Gur chakku Rs 3,500-3,600, pedi Rs 3,800-3,900, dhayya Rs 3,900-4,000 and shakkar Rs 4,100-4,200.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,600-2,650, chakku Rs 3,100-3,200,khurpa Rs N.Q. and Ladoo Rs 3,250-3,300.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,400-3,450 and dhayya Rs 3,450-3,500.
