German luxury carmaker BMW today launched two new variants of its flagship BMW 7 Series in India, priced at Rs 2.27 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).

The two new variants - M760Li xDrive and M760Li xDrive V12 Excellence -- are available in petrol option and come as a completely built-up (CBU) model.

"The BMW M760Li xDrive stands for two important directions of our product strategy in India: the further expansion of our M portfolio and strengthening our presence in the upper end of the luxury car market," BMW Group India President Vikram Pawah said in a statement.

The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hr in just 3.7 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/hr. With the launch of these two new variants, the BMW 7 Series in India is now available in five petrol and three diesel variants.

BMW also introduced the latest BMW 330i sedan in the country priced up to Rs 44.9 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

"With the launch of the new BMW 330i, we go a step further in presenting a well-balanced portfolio of the BMW 3 Series," Pawah said.

The model is locally produced at the company's plant in Chennai.
