Whoa! Is Deepika Padukone charging this much fees for doing 'Padmavati'?

Deepika Padukone is currently on a roll. After making waves in the West with her Hollywood debut opposite Vin Diesel in xXx: Return of Xander Cage and her stunning red carpet appearances at Cannes Film Festival 2017, the actress is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ambitious project Padmavati.

Deepika plays the protagonist Rani Padmavati in the SLB film. Now, if recent reports are to be believed then Deepika has charged a bomb for playing her part in the film that also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. Considering that the actress has already been featured in the Forbes's list of highest paid female actors in the world, her current fee comes across as quite surprising. 

Now, a leading daily has reported that Deepika is currently charging a fee of Rs 12 crore per film. Reportedly, when Deepika was approached for a film with one of the three Khans, she quoted her fee as Rs 12 crore which left the producer in shock, especially since the project involved two actresses. However, Deepika refused to budge and lower her fee. 

Does that mean that DP is charging the same for SLB's Padmavati? Your guess is as good as ours!
