Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez & Taapsee Pannu starrer 'Judwaa 2' is all set to join 100 crore club

 Mixed response from the film critics doesn't matter and no comparisons with the original Salman Khan film also can't affect Varun Dhawan anymore as Judwaa 2 is all set to join the 100 crore club soon.

Varun Dhawan had very big shoes to fill and that too times over for the film but the actor managed the unthinkable and proved his worth as an actor with his film with Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu. Released on an extended holiday weekend, this David Dhawan film cashed on Gandhi Jayanti holiday and minted over Rs 18 crore on Monday itself. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on Twitter. He wrote, "#Judwaa2 crosses ? 75 cr mark... Fri 16.10 cr, Sat 20.55 cr, Sun 22.60 cr, Mon 18 cr. Total: ? 77.25 cr. India biz. OUTSTANDING!"

Varun Dhawan is on a roll. His latest release Judwaa 2 has become the fourth biggest opener of 2017 and his best opening day collection till date for a solo film. In fact, the actor’s last eight films have been big hits with most entering the Rs 100 crore club including 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' and 'ABCD 2. 'According to a source, Varun now feels that he should increase his remuneration as he is the backbone of the film which he is associated with. His upcoming films include October with Shoojit Sircar, Sui Dhaaga opposite Anushka Sharma and Shiddat that will see him pairing with Alia Bhatt for the fourth time.
