While it’s not uncommon to reshoot certain scenes of a film, it’s not often that one hears of an entire movie being re-shot. That’s exactly the plan for Tamannaah Bhatia’s next Hindi film, Khamoshi.

Industry sources tell us that producer Vashu Bhagnani is not too excited by the edit of the thriller, which also stars Prabhudheva. According to our informer, “It has been several months since director Chakri Toleti finished shooting this thriller in London. Tamannah plays a deaf-mute girl and Prabhudheva is the antagonist. The film was being edited over the last couple of months. However, after seeing the first cut, Vashuji felt it wasn’t working as expected and is believed to have told Chakri to shoot it all over again.” Apparently, the team will re-look the script and shoot it afresh in London soon.

Interestingly, the producer and the director are making the same subject in Tamil as well. Titled Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, the movie has been shot with South Indian star Nayanthara. However, it remains to be seen if the Tamil version will also be re-shot all over again. If they don’t, we just hope the two versions don’t seem as unlike as chalk and cheese.
