The makers of Pyaar Ka Punchnama franchise have unveiled the trailer of their latest film titled Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. The movie stars Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh in the leads and brings the epic battle between romance and bromance on the silver screens.

Going by the trailer, Sonu (Kartik) plays the saviour to his friend Titu (Sunny) who's the helpless lover, looking forward to getting married to the perfect bride - Sweety (Nushrat). While Titu hasn't been very fortunate in matters of the heart in his previous relationship, it is Sonu who always comes to Titu's rescue and tells him when to break free from a toxic relationship.

When Titu decides to get married and finds a perfect bride in Sweety, Sonu becomes cynical about her and feels that Sweety is too-good-to-be-true. Now, Sonu is hell bent on proving that there's something black in the lentils and getting Titu to convince that he shouldn't get married to her, while Sweety is resolute in her decision to marry Titu and even challenges Sonu when she says, "Dosti aur ladki mein hamesha ladki jeet ti hai."

The trailer grips you right at the start with Kartik's speech bringing back the memories of his famous monologue from Pyaar Ka Punchnama. The fluid chemistry between the trio, especially Nushrat and Kartik is palpable. It also helps that for the first time the duo aren't seen romancing each other, but as rivals, trying to put each other down.

We half suspect that in the battle of romance vs bromance, Sonu and Sweety may end up falling for each other (we hope not, but since it's a Bollywood film, you never know). The epitome of sanskaar - Aloknath uttering the C-word cannot be missed in the trailer s well.

Director Luv Ranjan has tried to stress upon an important aspect of today's marriages. While in the earlier times, it was supposed to a marriage between two families, these days, it's also become a marriage of two friend circles. Luv Ranjan has tried to keep this aspect at the centre of the story but looks like he is still not over the hangover of the Pyaar Ka Punchnama franchise. We aren't complaining as going by the looks of it, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety looks like another laughter riot of a film.
