Salman Khan-Jacqueline Fernandez to star in 'Race 3' but why did Saif Ali Khan refuse the film?

After Hrs was the first to reveal that Salman Khan has decided to shoot Race 3 before Go Daddy, and transported leading lady Jacqueline Fernandez and director Remo D’Souza from that film to R3. Producer Ramesh Taurani now confirms, “Yes, Salman and Jacqueline are confirmed for Race 3. It will release next year on Eid.” There was also talk about Daisy Shah being roped in for the action franchise. But Taurani says, “We haven’t taken a call on that. We will do that in a week’s time.” There will also be another parallel actor along with Salman in the film. The makers have approached a few actors, but no one has been locked.

Saif Ali Khan, who has played the lead in both the Race films, was approached to play the parallel lead along with Salman. But he has refused the role. Says a source, “He was the hero of the franchise. Suddenly, why would he want to be the second lead to Salman.”
