A month ago, After Hrs broke the news of director Remo D’souza launching Avitesh Shrivastav, son of the late music composer Aadesh Shrivastav, in a film. But before that, Remo will introduce him as an actor-singer in an international music video, in collaboration with two-time Grammy Award winner, Giorgio Tuinfort. Avitesh, a singer and musician, confirms, “It is a romantic music video shot by Remo sir, wherein I am also singing.” The 21-year-old had earlier rendered the title track of Amitabh Bachchan’s television show, Aaj Ki Raat Zindagi. He further adds, “I had produced and remixed the Baghban number, composed by my father. Amitji had liked it.”

Avitesh reveals that Remo had worked with his father on several music videos, “Remo sir has directed a number of them, including the very notable album, Beyond Boundaries (Apna Bana Le), which was a huge success. He was a very close friend of my father’s.” He recalls, “When my father was battling cancer in the last days of his life, Remo sir was by our side, comforting and even helping us in our financial crisis. Later, he took on the mantle of fulfilling my dad’s last wish of making me a successful singer and actor. He took me under his wings and I started rehearsing and training under him.”

Avitesh adds that he would be ever-grateful to Remo for helping him take his parents’ legacy forward, “My father was a great singer-composer and my mother (Vijayta Pandit) is a known actress in her own right. I have inherited both talents and I want to take their legacies forward.”
