Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi actress Payal Ghosh to play a Radhe Maa inspired character in 'Jai Mata Di'

Actress Payal Ghosh who debuted in Bollywood last year with 'Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi' along with Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, will be soon seen playing a lead role in Saurabh Verma's (director of Mickey Virus) next 'Jai Mata Di' in a character loosely based on Radhe Maa. 

Payal is really kicked about 'Jai Mata Di' as she believes it's the best script she has heard so far and will turn out to be winning turn point in her filmography too. "Jai Mata Di' is that kind of film which Payal wanted to do since a long time. Payal’s character is loosely based on Radhe Maa and she is not leaving any stones unturned for the same. It's a rom-com and when director of the film Saurabh Verma approached Payal for the role she readily accepted it. The film will go on floors from August and major part of the film will be shot in UP. They are yet to finalise the lead actor of the film" says a source close to the actress.

Commenting on the same, Payal says "After my first film, I was looking for a script which will excite me not as an actor but as a viewer and 'Jai Mata Di' is the perfect film. I am currently prepping for the film and since my character is loosely based Radhe Maa, I have been watching several videos of hers to get into the skin of the character. I am eagerly awaiting for the film to start."
