Mohit Suri dismisses rumours of ‘Ek Villain’ sequel with Sidharth Malhotra, Kriti Sanon

Rumour mills have been abuzz lately that Mohit Suri is all set to cast Sidharth Malhotra and Kriti Sanon in the sequel of 2014 romantic thriller, Ek Villain. 

With no official confirmation, there has been much excitement about the film already. However, now in a statement to Mid-Day, Mohit has quashed all rumours and revealed that he is not making the sequel with Sidharth and Kriti. 

He further added that currently he is working with Aditya Roy Kapur for another film. "Yes, I am working with Aditya. It will be a thriller. My earlier films like Murder 2 (2011) and Kalyug (2005) were also in the same genre," Mohit told Mid-Day.

When asked about the sequel to Ek Villain, he said, "I've heard that I am making Ek Villain 2 and that I already have a bound script which has been given to Aditya. But nothing like that is happening. Ek Villain is a Balaji Telefilms property and they haven't approached me yet." 

The first installment of the film featured Sidharth, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles.
