Based on Jr NTR's movie 'Temper' this action movie will be directed by Rohit Shetty.

Karan Johar unveiled a colour-popping poster for his new movie directed by Rohit Shetty— Simmba.
The talk of collaboration between Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar, the two powerhouses of Bollywood, made a lot of noise. The producer-director duo is working on a talent show contest too. But Simmba marks fantastic beginning of a project given that the current 'It' boy of Bollywood, Ranveer Singh, is involved.

Based on Jr NTR's Telugu movie Temper, the movie is slated to release on December 28, 2018. Temper is an of a corrupt police officer, Daya, who works for a big-time smuggler. But Daya's life changes when he falls in love with Shanvi.
Shetty has promised that the movie will be 'a high-octane' entertainer.'
"This will be the first time people will see Ranveer performing so many action sequences. He has great energy and after working with him in a commercial, even I believe so. The heroine of the film is not yet finalised, we will start working on it after Diwali," the director had told reporters earlier.
He didn't stop there, praising the Padmavati star Shetty said, "He (Ranveer) connects with the masses and for me, he is a superstar."
Rohit Shetty is coming off the success of his fourth Gol Maal movie. A big Diwali hit. While Ranveer is involved with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's controversial movie Padmavati. He is also working with Alia Bhatt for a movie titled Gully Boy.
