Is Fatima Sana Shaikh gearing up for Aamir Khan's dream project on Mahabharata?

Fatima Sana Shaikh, who rose to fame after playing Geeta Phogat in Aamir Khan's Dangal, is on a roll. The actress will also be seen in Thugs of Hindostan alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Khan and it seems Fatima has another film lined up already.

Recently, Fatima took to social media to share a photo of her reading Hindu mythology Mahabharata. Interestingly, Aamir has time and again expressed his wish to make a series of films on the epic Mahabharata, which is touted to be his dream project. Considering her fondness for Fatima, we wonder if there’s a link between Aamir’s possible project and Fatima’s photo. 

During the Secret Superstar promotions, Aamir had said, “My dream project is to make the Mahabharata but I’m afraid of starting the project as I know it will consume at least 15-20 years of my life. My favourite character is Karna, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to play him due to my physique. I may just have to play Krishna. I also liked the character of Arjun. He was the only person who asked Krishna why he had to kill his own people.”

In another instance, Aamir Khan had spoken, “My dream is to make Mahabharata one day, which I have not yet achieved or I haven't even moved towards it. It’s too scary as a dream, maybe that’s why. It’s a big dream and so let’s see if I can do it one day.”

Well, now that Aamir and Fatima have already worked on two projects, we certainly wish to see their camaraderie on screen one more time.
