Is Akshay Kumar creating trouble for Arjun Kapoor-Parineeti Chopra's 'Namaste England'

After Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha's sequel to 2007 film didn't materalise, the actor seems to be an obstacle in Vipul Shah's plans to make Namaste England with Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra

A sequel to 2007 film, Namaste London seems to be in the making for ages now. Firstly there were plans of Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha being roped in the for the sequel titled Namaste England. The planning of the film took time and by then Akki got busy with Toilet-Ek Prem Katha, Gold and 2.0. So Akki-Sonakshi film got shelved. Then filmmaker Vipul Amrutlal Shah announced a new start cast of Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the lead, replacing Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha both. But with all the changes and after all the years of planning this film seems to be a little jinxed.

According to Mid-Day report, Akki refuses to give Namaste London IP rights to the producer-filmmaker. Vipul and Akshay are the owner of Intellecual Property rights to Namaste London franchise. That makes us wonder if Akshay is unhappy with the cast or was hopeful that the filmmaker will wait for him till eternity. But now Vipul Shah has decided to change the title to Namaste Canada now. And now the romcom will have to be shot in North America instead of UK. 

The duo who debuted together in Ishaqzaade, are now going to be seen in two films, Namaste England now renamed as Namaste Canada and even Dibakar Banerjee's Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar
