Hansal Mehta wants Vidya Balan to play the late Sridevi in her biopic?

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta has decided to make a film in the life of the late legendary actress Sridevi and wants to cast Vidya Balan in the lead. He wanted to approach Sridevi for a separate project he had in mind, but before he could do that, the actress left for heavenly abode. 

An IANS report quoted Mehta as saying, "I will always regret that I didn’t approach her and could not make a movie with her. But I will make a film on her.”

The report further added that Mehta got lost in deep thoughts while talking about the film. He only divulged further that the film may be based on a book and refused to reveal any further information. 

He assured that the film will definitely be made. He added, "There are actors (who I have in my mind). I might approach Vidya Balan. I will make the film."

Sridevi, considered to be India's first female superstar, suddenly passed away on February 24 in Dubai. The actress was there to attend a family wedding. She died due to accidental drowning following loss of consciousness. She was cremated in Mumbai on February 28 after having being given full state honours.
