'Going to be an emotional day': Real-life Pad Man Muruganantham thanks Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna ahead of release

On Thursday, Arunachalam Muruganantham, a social entrepreneur from Coimbatore will be immortalised on the silver screen as Akshay Kumar-starred Pad Man hits the theatres. It’s not often that we saw A-listers from Bollywood portray risky characters.

He took to Twitter to thank Twinkle Khanna for being persistent and Akshay for leaving his comfort zone and doing the role.

He adds: "I hope this story will initiate the conversation! I finally thank my wife without whom I think there wouldn’t be this innovation and movement. Truly made in India! Hope you enjoy the movie in theatres.
