B-Town is the place where many aspiring actors have seen their big screen dreams come true or break in a matter of hours. The big debut often is what decides the future of an actor. While superstars continue to rule the roost, these newbies are waiting in the wings to step on the silver screen. And although they are new to the business, they have done their homework and polished their skills to ensure that the audience falls in love with them. Here are the ones, who are eager to claim their time under the spotlight.

Janvi Kapoor

While mom Sridevi would have preferred to see beti Janvi tie the knot and settle for marital bliss, the youngster prefers to face the arclights and bear the Friday fever that every actor has to suffer. She has made a smart choice by opting to be Karan Johar’s protégée. Her project is a remake of the Marathi blockbuster, Sairat. She is already a favourite with the paps and the still camera definitely seems to love her. Considering her mother’s mammoth fan following, there’s no doubt that the audience will be eager to see this Kapoor girl make a splash on the screen.

Sara Ali Khan

Just when it looked like Sara would be the next student in the sequel to Karan Johar’s Student of the Year, she decided to instead sign
an Abhishek Kapoor movie to be produced by Ekta Kapoor. Titled Kedarnath, the movie will see Sara make her debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. Like Janvi, Sara too is a favourite with the paps.

Karan Deol

The new generation of the Deol clan is all set to pack a punch. Papa Sunny is helming beta Karan’s directorial debut titled Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. The good-looking Deol scion has been shooting for the film in Manali. Though Sunny is known for his action-oriented roles, he will launch his son with a love story like he did with Betaab. Rumour has it that even before his debut, Karan is all set to sign his next.

Ishaan Khatter

Looks like Shahid Kapoor’s brother has been preparing to face the cameras all these years. Following his brother Shahid’s footsteps, he too, is a trained dancer and has enviable abs. He will make his debut with the internationally-acclaimed director Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds. Post that, Ishaan will pair up with Janvi in the remake of Sairat. With two enviable projects already under his belt, it’s now his acting prowess that will decide if he becomes the toast of B-Town.

Aadar Jain

He is Raj Kapoor’s grandson and will be launched by Aditya Chopra. Though Aadar is related to the Kapoors, neither his mother Rima nor his father Manoj Jain have been part of films in any capacity. His brother, Armaan, made his debut a few years ago, but didn’t click with the junta or the filmmakers. Having assisted Karan Johar, it was expected that the youngster would be launched by Dharma, but instead it’s YRF that has given him a launch vehicle. The youngster will make his debut with Qaidi Band that releases next month.

Rohan Mehra

Vinod Mehra’s son Rohan has stayed away from B-Town for many years as his mother moved to Kenya after her husband’s death. The youngster has now arrived in Bollywood to make a place for himself. He will be making his debut with the Saif Ali Khan-starrer Bazaar. His sister Sonia too, had given Bollywood a shot, but she failed to make big. Will luck favour the younger sibling?

Sakshi Khanna

Son of B-Town’s most adored actor Vinod Khanna, Sakshi is likely to step foot in Bollywood with a Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie. His step-brothers — Rahul and Akshaye — have been around for many years. And though they haven’t found the kind of success that their father did, they have carved their own niche. Akshaye has been praised for his acting abilities and Rahul for his style quotient. Hopefully, Sakshi will be able to find a balance between the two.

Anya Singh

In a crowd of star kids is Anya, who will star along side Aadar Jain in Qaidi Band. Being a YRF talent, she was introduced to the media at a do by Aditya Chopra’s other find Anushka Sharma. The Delhi girl was studying at Delhi University before she was spotted by YRF’s casting director Shanoo Sharma at a coffee shop in the capital while she was visiting the city to conduct auditions for their new projects. A few rounds of audition later, Anya signed her debut film and a three film contract with the banner.

Abhimanyu Dassani

Bhagyashree may have had a short stint in Bollywood, but that didn’t stop her son Abhimanyu from dreaming about films. The youngster has been assisting various filmmakers on their projects. While there was buzz that he will be launched by Bhagyashree’s Maine Pyaar Kiya co-star Salman, according to newer reports, he will make his debut with a movie produced by Anurag Kashyap and directed by Vasan Bala.

Ahan Shetty

Salman Khan has been a close buddy of Suniel Shetty for many years now. The superstar provided a lavish launch vehicle to Suniel’s daughter Athiya with Hero. Through the film failed at the box office, it was the kind of debut that every newbie dreams off. Now, Suniel’s son Ahan too is ready for his debut with Sajid Nadiadwala’s banner that also launched Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon. In a recent interview, Suniel said, “His film is being produced by Bollywood’s number one producer Sajid Nadiadwala and also backed by Fox entertainment. So I think Ahan is in safe hands and other things depend on his talent, personality and luck.”

Aayush Sharma

When you have Salman Khan as your brother-in-law, you don’t need to worry about a good launch vehicle. Salman has already played mentor to Sonakshi Sinha, Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi, and now it’s his sister Arpita’s husband Aayush’s turn. According to buzz, the script is in place and bhaijaan is now on the lookout for a director he can give the directorial reins to.

Yashvardhan Ahuja

Govinda’s son Yashvardhan, like his papa, wants to be a part of Bollywood. Like many other star sons, he too decided to get some hands-on experience of filmmaking by turning assistant director before facing the cameras. He has been working with Sajid Nadiadwala. While he has not signed anything yet, it won’t be long before the good-looking lad is snapped up by some filmmaker.
