Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming film, Indu Sarkar is set in the emergency period under the Indira Gandhi government, and that's a reason enough for the Congress party to be worried. The film not only has characters inspired by Mrs Gandhi and her son, Sanjay Gandhi but there is even a character which resembles former Delhi MP, Jagdish Tytler. In desperation to avoid any controversy post the release of the film, the Congress leader has asked filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar to show him the research behind the emergency film. Indu Sarkar's trailer shows a character that resembles him, so Tytler says he has no objection if his character is not shown in a bad light. Otherwise he has asked Bhandarkar to make corrections before the release itself.
This is not the first time that Congress party has objected to this political drama. Congress spokesperson, Jyotiraditya Scindia recently said, " The film is fully sponsored. The organisation and the individual who is behind the film is known to us. We totally condemn the false depictions in the film"
