The late legendary actress Sridevi was pretty excited to be a part of Karan Johar's Shiddat, especially after the success of her last outing Mom. The sudden and untimely demise of the actress not only left the B-Town in shock and disbelief, but also grieved her fans deeply, who were waiting to see her on the silver screen again.

Now, if recent buzz is anything to go by, then Madhuri Dixit Nene may be seen replacing Sridevi in Shiddat. The film which features a stellar ensemble cast of Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Singa and Aditya Roy Kapur was to have a crucial role to be played by Sridevi.

If a BollywoodLife report is to be believed, then Madhuri will be seen stepping into the shoes of Sridevi for the said role. A source informed them that the makers are in talks with Madhuri for the role and since MD is quite close to Karan Johar (who's producing the film), she feels it'll be an apt way to pay tribute to Sridevi in case she gives a nod to Shiddat.

The film is to be helmed by Abhishek Varman of 2 Stated fame and also marks the fourth collaboration of Varun and Alia. If Madhuri indeed comes on board, then it'll also be a great news for all the fans of Madhuri and Sanjay Dutt.
