Boney Kapoor to make a documentary on late wife Sridevi’s life?

Legendary actor Sridevi’s sudden demise has left millions of fans heartbroken. Her untimely demise has not only left a void in Bollywood but is an end of era in Indian film industry. Meanwhile more than her fans or the film industry, her death is an irreplaceable loss for her husband Boney Kapoor and daughters, Janhvi and Khushi.

Now it seems her husband and filmmaker Boney Kapoor is keen on making a documentary on the life of his late wife, who was arguably Bollywood’s first female superstar. Reports suggest that Boney’s friend Shekhar Kapoor will be helming the project. 

 

A source revealed to The Asian Age, “It will be a kind of one-stop visual legacy on her life and cinema, with the rarest of rare footage and voices of everyone who mattered in her life.” The source further added, “Boney is very disturbed by what he considers untruths that are being spread about his wife’s death. As far as he’s concerned, they had a perfect marriage. He spends a lot of time now reliving their golden moments together.”

Sridevi, 54, died on February 24 in a Dubai hotel after accidentally drowningin her hotel bathtub. The body of Bollywood icon was flown back to Mumbai on February 27 and was cremated on February 28. Last week, Boney along with his two daughters — Janhvi and Khushi — flew to Rameswaram in a special aircraft to immerse Sridevi’s ashes in the holy island town.
