100 crore club is a thing of the past, as Aamir Khan's solo release for 2016, Dangal as created a new benchmark for success with 2000 crore club. According to reports published by Forbes, the film collected another 2.5 crores at multiplexes in China, making its total collection as 2000 crores now. 

But that's not all, according to Forbes report, Dangal is the fifth highest grossing non-English film ever and the biggest non Hollywood import to China. Creating huge impact at the Chinese box office, this Aamir Khan film has lbeaten the records created by The Jungle Book, Zootopia, Captain America: Civil War and so many other films.

Directed by Nitish Tiwari, Dangal is based on the real life story of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat who fights gender inequality in his village in Haryana to train his daughters as wrestlers Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat. While the film revolves around the father daughter relationship and Aamir Khan in the role of an ageing father with a pot belly looked very convincing in his part. He yet again surprised audience with his extreme transformation fhis part.

It's a milestone which hasn't attained by any Indian film so far, Dangal seems to be giving stiff competition to SS Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali which is also creating new records in the history of Indian Cinema.
