This Friday, Rajkummar Rao's Newton has hit the theatres along with Shraddha Kapoor's Haseena Parkar and Sanjay Dutt's Bhoomi. While some were apprehensive about Newton before its release since it's a small film in comparison to the ones with which it's clashing at the ticket windows but Newton has managed to impress both the critics and the audiences alike.
The film has now been nominated for Oscar Awards 2018, a joyous news that Rajkummar Rao broke on Twitter on Friday itself.
Very happy to share this news that #NEWTON is India's official entry to the #OSCARS this year. Congratulations team.
