We are all artists and music is the only drug we need

Watt Whitman once said, 'Art is art. The glory of expression and the sunshine of the light of letters is simplicity'. In a world full of chaos and anarchy, our souls crave solace. But solace isn't meant to be found , it is meant to be felt.

This is exactly what art teaches us. It teaches us to appreciate, to think . It teaches us to admire the beauty of oblivion . Art has an infinite number of interpretations. It is the most complex phenomenon of life. It is the only constant in our fleeting lives. Life is unjust and unpredictable. The only way to endure any pain it puts you through, is to find strength and guidance. Art gives us a purpose to feel and love. Let art heal you. Acknowledge the artist in yourself . In the darkest of times , I found dance and music. They made me a better person. Dance is not just a mere movement of the body. It is something that reflects in everything I do. When I dance, I feel lost. Lost in love with this beautiful art form. I realised that it isn't just about impressing, it is about expressing.

At the age of 6, I started learning Bharatanatyam. It is something that is so close to my heart. I live, breathe and drink the very essence of it. Rhythm is one of the important aspects of this dance form. Even the universe follows the law of rhythm. Dance and music go hand in hand. Music is like a drug to me, only it isn't toxic. It is a subtle addiction that transcends me into a world so beautiful and so mesmerising . These are just two of the million versions of art. Art is eternal. Art is immortal. It cannot be made sense of even by the most intelligent minds because art itself is intelligence. It is an enigma; an unfathomable, omnipresent entity. It finds a way to propagate itself through all spheres. In it's purest form , it brings us closer to eternal peace. Only art can challenge the human mind. It is the only thing which is existent irrespective of whether it is man made or made by god. Art inculcates emotions in us. It exists in everyone You are an artist. I am an artist. The universe is but a canvas of art in its different forms bound together. Never give up on art. Embrace it and you shall find yourself changed. Art broadens our vision and power of thinking. Art is the absolute truth. Art is God.
