Probe order against PSI Asari

Zone-4 DCP Parikshita Rathod has ordered ACP (J-Division) Manjeeta Vanzara on Thursday to conduct an inquiry after 28-year-old man lodged a complaint at Naroda police station on Wednesday alleging that he was beaten up at Krishnanagar police station by PSI AS Asari and a constable Ashok on Tuesday.

As per Sandeep Patel’s complaint, he has a second hand car business and resides at Kathwada. He was cheated in his business 10 days back. But police said the claim of Sandeep that he belongs to Patidar community appears to be fake. Rathod has ordered an inquiry against Asari and Ashok.Rathod said, “Police believe that the entire episode of beating up Sandeep appears to be fake after seeing CCTV footage. In fact, he was summoned to register his statement.”

“Sandeep is a history sheeter. Asari was with him but nothing appears like he had beaten up Sandeep, while, at the same time Ashok was on telephone conversation for four minutes,” she said.

4 cops suspended 

RJ Savani, JCP (Admin) on Thursday suspended four constables in connection with their involvement in kidnapping, money laundering cases of November 2016. They misinformed their superiors by saying they were on sick leaves instead of jail term.
