According to data presented in the Rajya Sabha on swine flu on Tuesday, 25 per cent mortality has been reported in the state this year on account of swine flu.

Every day one person in the city has been falling victim to swine flu this month with three fatalities so far. On Tuesday, a 32-year-old woman from Sardarnagar succumbed to the H1N1 virus.
Experts fear humid weather conditions will lead to a spike in cases. “A total of 93 cases have been reported this year, out of which 17 patients succumbed,” said Dr Bhavin Solanki, in-charge medical officer, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), cautioning that the elderly, children and women needed to take extra care.
According to data presented in the Rajya Sabha on swine flu on Tuesday, 25 per cent mortality has been reported in the state this year on account of swine flu. The report mentions the state has reported 284 H1N1 cases out of which 75 people have died. The government also informed there had been a two-fold rise in H1N1 deaths compared to last year.
Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze.
Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
Try to avoid close contact with those who are ill.
