The Gujarat BJP, as part of micro-management at booth level, has started a door-to door campaign ," Gujarat Gaurav Maha Sampark Abhiyan" on Tuesday. The six-day campaign was kickstarted by BJP national president Amit Shah from his constituency Naranpura. The campaign is basically aimed at gauging the mood of voters and know their political opinion.

Former CM and senior leader of BJP, Anandiben Patel, also joined the campaign in her constituency Ghatlodia. In the evening, she held a press conference at BJP's media center in Ahmedabad.

Patel said, "We are discussing different issues with people and trying to know their political likings. We would be in a position to know which voters are pro-BJP, who are pro-Congress and who are neutral. All our workers would collect the details and submit to the party. The party will then analyse this data and decide where BJP would win and where it can lose. If any section is found against BJP, party workers and leaders would try to placate them before the polls."

"This is very unique and less expensive technique of micro planning. We would meet the people from Patel community across the state who have been complaining to be victim of police atrocities and try to pacify them. This is how we work everytime in polls and win with thumping majority. While we are reaching door to door, Congress neither has the planning nor the workforce to do this," she Patel.

Anandiben also said workers and leaders who approach voters give them a letter undersigned by PM Modi. The letter tells about the party's contribution for the development of Gujarat in last 20 years. Patel also said the BJP has distributed 12 families to each of the workers and they have to look after those voters only.

"The workers have to take care of 48 voters or 10 to 12 families only. They are supposed to regularly meet these families, propagate the agenda and achievements of BJP governments, discuss their issues and also see that those voters reach the polling station on polling day," she further added.\

BOARD MEETING

  • Anandiben said the party’s parliamentary board will meet during November 10 to 12 in presence of senior leaders to decide on candidate selection and party’s strategies.
