The British Council today said along with UCL Institute of Education, UK, it has developed a free online course for teachers in India to develop their skills and knowledge.

"We are launching our first free, online course designed to help teachers in India continue their professional development. We're bringing the best of UK expertise through our partner UCL Institute of Education together to provide a learning experience for thousands across the country who may not otherwise have access to this type of content," British Council Director India Alan Gemmell said in a release.

This online course is in simple steps to help teachers develop their reflective skills and improve their practise in the classroom.

Fino Payments Bank, BPCL ink pact

Fino Payments Bank today said it has signed an agreement with BPCL, one of its biggest shareholders, to help with distribution.

Select outlets of the state-run oil marketing company will provide digital payments solutions as part of the arrangement, a statement issued here by Fino, which is gearing up to launch its bank in two months, said.

Fino intends to expand its reach through BPCL in states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.

Apart from fuel payments, customers will also be able to do other transactions like transfer or remit money, deposit and withdrawal transactions and make payments for utility bills, recharging mobiles and insurance premiums, it said.

During his interaction with media in Ahmedabad today, Porsche India Director, Pavan Shetty said more and more young customers are opting for the Porsche cars in the country.

"The age of customers in India is decreasing. In 2015, national average of our customers was 41 years, which came down to 38 years in terms of the age. It shows that our customers are getting young," said Shetty.
