JOIN USThe Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) on Monday reserved its orders on the petition filed by Rohini Sindhuri Dasari, deputy commissioner of Hassan, challenging her transfer.
The CAT had earlier passed the order directing Sindhuri to give a representation to the chief secretary against her transfer. She later challenged the order before the high court which asked the tribunal to consider her plea afresh.
H Subramanya Jois, the advocate representing Sindhuri submitted before the tribunal that Sindhuri had cracked down on mining mafia which enraged the local politicians who influenced chief minister to transfer her from Hassan district.
The state government has not given any specific reasons for transfer.
Additional Advocate General AS Ponnanna submitted that the transfer order was passed after discussions with chief minister and chief secretary.
He claimed that there was no rule mandating that an IAS officer should be allowed to work in one place for two years.
