KPSC exam malpractice: 8 more held

The city police on Friday arrested eight more people in connection with malpractice in the examinations conducted by the Karnataka Public Service Commission.

With this, the total number of arrests in the case has gone up to 13. Addressing a press meet, Superintendent of Police N Shashi Kumar said that the arrested were involved in malpractices in 13 examinations held for various posts.

He said more than 100 job aspirants had taken the help of the gang to pass the examination and some of them had even been appointed to various posts. The SP said the gang provided answers to the candidates through micro earphones.

The arrested have been identified as Meimood Nadaf, Nagaraj Tengli, Dr Kamran Kaisar, Hazarath Ali Nadaf, Imam Saab Nadaf, Abdul Najeeb, Salim Ali and Nazeer. They were remanded in judicial custody.
