The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) has filed a police complaint against the staff of Bethel college for forging mark sheets.

The college is located in Preeti Nagar, Laggere, North Bengaluru. The  RGHUS filed the complaint at the Tilak Nagar police station, which has jurisdictional over the university's administrative office.

The university's move is seen as a tit for tat after the college lodged a complaint against eight unidentified officials of the varsity, including three women, who had come for an inspection and made off with Rs 1 crore, besides college documents including students' mark sheets.  Based on this complaint, the Nandini Layout police had registered an FIR against unknown people on March 7.

Police investigations show it was a tussle between college and university officials over several issues. Police are certain that the eight people who inspected the college on March 7 were from the RGUHS. But it is a matter of investigation whether these officials stole money and other documents as alleged by the college.

The complaint filed by the college states that eight people claiming to be the subordinates of the RGUHS vice-chancellor entered the college premises, inspected the classrooms and the CCTV footage before making off with nearly Rs 1 crore kept in a cupboard, besides a register which contained details of the tuition and mess fees of students. The RGUHS team also took away five hard disks, two pen drives, files and certificates of students, land documents.
