2 ex-Naxals wanted in cops' killing held after 12 yrs

The police on Tuesday arrested two former Naxalites wanted in connection with the killing of policemen in Venkatammanahalli, 12 years ago.

The arrested have been identified as Venkatammanahalli Pargi Rajanna (47) and R Achchammanahalli Kote Srinivas (55). On February 11, 2005, a group of Naxals attacked a police camp in Venkatammanahalli killing policemen. It is learnt that the above two were involved in the incident and had been hiding since then. They were working as labourers in Bengaluru and some parts of Andhra Pradesh.

However, a team of police officials arrested he duo on Tuesday soon after they landed in the village. They were produced before a court in the evening.
