Sudhir Saraf elected as new mayor for Hubballi

Sudhir Saraf and Menaka Hurali of the BJP have been elected the mayor and deputy mayor of Hubballi-Dharwad City Corporation.

In the elections held on Saturday, 41 votes were cast in favour of the BJP candidates while 23 were against, said Belagavi regional commissioner P A Meghannavara, who was the returning officer for mayoral election.

Lok Sabha member Pralhad Joshi, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Jagadish Shettar and others were present.
