Passengers robbed in two Yesvantpur bound trains in Andhra Pradesh

At least 13 passengers on a Jodhpur Yesvantpur Express were robbed of their belongings when they fell unconscious after consuming biscuits that reportedly contained some drugs.

The incident happened in the early hours of Thursday when a few miscreants offered biscuits to passengers aboard the Yeshwantpur Express. Soon after consuming the biscuits, the victims lost consciousness.The robbers have decamped with their luggage, mobile phones and cash.

The passengers alerted the railway police and unconscious people were shifted to a local hospital

Another incident

In another incident around the same time, two passengers of Bidar-Yesvantpur Express were robbed and a bike of a Railway Protection Force Inspector was forcibly taken away by assailants in Taticherla Railway station.

Robbers who were travelling in the general compartment robbed two passengers at knifepoint and stopped the train to escape by pulling the chain.

With the railway police rushing to the rescue of the passengers the assailants threw stones on them. They then threatened the RPF officer V.K.Meena who rushed to the spot without his service revolver and ran away with his bike. Few minutes after the heist, another RPF officer tried to trace them but returned empty-handed. Robbed passengers, one from Raichur and another from Yesvantpur filed their complaints with the railway police.
