The inputs collected from citizens as a part of the MyCityMyBudget campaign by Janaagraha were submitted to the BBMP officials on Wednesday.

Janaagraha had conducted a campaign along with the Palike, and had collected 67,533 suggestions from the citizens on the issues that need to be prioritised in this year's BBMP budget. The campaign was launched on January 11. The 'Budget Bus' has collected inputs from 94 areas in the city.

Development of roads and  footpaths, health and sanitation, playgrounds, and crime and safety are some of the categories that citizens have demanded priority in the budget, which will be  presented on February 28.

"About 22% of the previous year's budget inputs were included in the BBMP budget. This year, we will categorise and consider valuable inputs," said BBMP Commissioner N Manjunath Prasad.

He also said that if there are more than 15 inputs for a particular problem or an issue, it would be considered.

Mayor R Sampath Raj said, "We welcome any organisation as well as residents who  come forward to help us develop Bengaluru."
