Bengaluru Development Minister K J George inaugurated an animal birth control centre in Medi Agrahara village, Yelahanka, on Wednesday.
The facility has 120 kennels and can sterilise 50 dogs per day. Built at a cost of Rs 2 crore, this is the biggest dog sterilisation facility in the city with state-of-the-art facilities.
"Spread over three acres, the centre is used to sterilise street dogs in the Yelahanka zone," George said.
Chikballapur Lok Sabha member M Veerappa Moily was also present.
