Two youth on a bike, raced over the foot of a Tumakuru city traffic policeman on duty, when the latter tried to signal them to stop.
This event occurred at Shivakumar Swamiji Circle.
The two youth have been identified as Harish from Kaggere, Gubbi taluk and Chetan Kumar of Malasandra.
The New Extension police have registered a case against both.
Police said that the duo approached them from the Kothi Thopu side and the vehicle did not have a registration plate.
When ASI Basavaraj and traffic constable Ravichandra tried to block and signal them to a stop, they raced right over Ravichandra's foot and tried to escape. They were later caught.
Turvekere police have arrested Nazeer Saab who had stolen seven TVS Super mopeds and recovered the vehicles.
