The spotting of a tiger in Siddapura has frightened local people.
As it is the season to pluck coffee beans, the labourers, as well as coffee growers, are scared to go the estates to pluck the beans.
Six cattle were killed by a tiger at Channangi village in Siddapura last year. The tiger could not be trapped even after placing a cage.
Some labourers have spotted a tiger in estates in Emmegundi and Beetikadu.
The trap camera installed by the Thithimathi forest officials at Chennangi has confirmed the presence of a tiger.
According to forest department officials, more trap cameras will be installed on Tuesday. A cage has been placed at Emmegundi.
