JOIN USCanines belonging to different breeds stole the limelight at the dog show held under the aegis of the Karavali Canine Club at Nehru Maidan here on Sunday.
Karavali Canine Club's Prasad Aithal and T Preetham have been hosting the national-level dog show for the last six years. "At least 200 persons are participating with their canines. One of the participants has brought different breeds of canines. Last year, we had participants from New Delhi, Kolkata, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Hubballi, Bengaluru, Chitradurga, Mysuru," said Prasad Aithal.
Over 30 breeds like Rottweiler, Labrador, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, Pug, Mudhol hound, including expensive and rare breeds of Maltese, Akita, Dogue de Bordeaux, were present at the venue.
Owners were seen trotting and galloping with their canines all over the field. A few owners were pampering their pets by combing their coats, feeding them with food and water. There were stalls selling all kinds of dog paraphernalia, from dog food to coats, grooming equipment, and so on.
BJP industries cell co-convener Badrinath Kamath inaugurated the show.
